To receive a scholarship award, you must be a high school graduate or have a GED, be considered a *Brisbane resident, be enrolled in a full-time higher education or vocational program, submit a completed application by April 30, 2024, before midnight, and sign up (by April 30, 2024) AND participate in a 30 minute Zoom interview with our Scholarship Committee members in May 2024.   

You must show proof that you are a full-time student and/or will be for the entire upcoming academic year in 2024/2025.

*What determines if you are a Brisbane Resident?   As of the April 30, 2024, the scholarship application due date, you or your family must have lived in Brisbane for a minimum of 1 year between 2023 and 2024. 

APPLICATION PACKAGE: please submit this complete package electronically, all at the same time, by filling out the application form below with attachments.  The complete application package is due by April 30, 2024.  Please do not wait until the last minute as unplanned delays may arise or you may have technical challenges at the last minute. Late applications will not be accepted.

The completed application package includes all of the following: 

• Attestation to being a Brisbane resident in 2023/2024 As of the April 30, 2024 scholarship application due date, you or your family must have lived in Brisbane for a minimum of 1 year between 2023 and 2024. 
• A current email address that you will check during this process as we will be communicating with you! 
• A mailing address for your scholarship award check that will be sent this summer.
• Proof of acceptance or registration to a full-time program in for 2024/2025 (this can be satisfied by a transcript that demonstrates current enrollment). You will have the ability to apply to a partial scholarship if your program is less than a full academic year. However, you must be enrolled in a full-time program. Full-time participation is 12 credits per semester, or 9 units per quarter.  Part-time classes do not qualify you for a scholarship award.
• Transcripts from 2023/24 or your last year of education (can be unofficial). High school transcripts for current high school students and college transcripts for all years completed. 
• 2 written essay questions at the specified length described in the Application Form  below.   Upload your combined essays as one PDF file.
• 2 written reference letters that are less than 3 months old and are addressed to the Lions Club Scholarship Committee. One from a school teacher and/or work supervisor, and one from a friend or colleague. 
• A digital (jpeg) picture of yourself from the chest up (a headshot) to be used as part of our Scholarship Awards Event
• Work Experience  (You can upload a resume if you have one - optional)
