Honoring Aimee’s Legacy & Supporting Her Family
A Tragic Loss
With heavy hearts, we share the devastating news that Aimee Fernandez has passed away due to severe injuries from a tragic incident on February 7, 2025. Aimee was a devoted wife, a loving mother to her two beautiful children, Remi (4) and Roman (6), and a cherished daughter, sister, and friend.
On that day, Aimee and her daughter were pedestrians, struck by a drunk driver. While Remi is expected to make a full recovery, Aimee fought for her life for 14 days in the ICU after suffering catastrophic injuries and undergoing multiple life-saving procedures. Despite the incredible efforts of her medical team at SF General, where she received amazing and compassionate care, and the love of friends and family surrounding her, her injuries were too severe to overcome.
This sudden and unimaginable loss has left her family shattered. As they navigate this painful journey of grief, we want to ensure they do not face it alone.
Aimee’s Legacy: A Message of Love and Responsibility
Aimee, Rich, and their children shared a truly happy, loving and full life together. Aimee was the heart of their home; the cornerstone of their happiness, always putting her family first. Rich was the happiest he had ever been, and their children had a devoted mother and father who would do anything for them.
Together, they worked incredibly hard to build a beautiful life for their family. They had recently bought a home where the kids would grow up. Aimee embarked on the biggest step of her career, moving into leadership at a company she was so excited to work for, with a team she deeply respected. She was thriving, excited for the future, and filled with gratitude, ambition and love.
Aimee and Rich shared a passion for adventure and had recently completed a triathlon together, a challenge that showcased their passion for life, inseparable nature, and love and respect for each other. They were already planning their next adventures, excited to fill their lives with everlasting memories. She approached every part of life with the same dedication, resilience, and joy, inspiring those around her to do the same.
In an instant, it was all taken away.
